Who controls your information
Privacy requests can be sent to admin@fortheloveofdodo.com. Newsletter collection remains disabled until the controller identity is approved.
Information collected
Newsletter signup collects your email address, signup source, consent time and the version of this notice you accepted. Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical request data needed to detect abuse.
For audit and abuse prevention, Dodo stores an expiring consent-initiation record containing a one-way email hash, a one-way source key, a one-way confirmation-token hash, its expiry and whether it has been used. The local consent ledger does not store your raw email address, raw confirmation token or raw network address.
The city ballot collects the city you choose and stores a one-way source key derived from technical request data. Raw network addresses and user-agent strings are not stored in the ballot database.
Purpose and lawful basis
Newsletter information is used to send Dodo Festival news and campaign updates. The lawful basis is your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every marketing email.
City votes are used to understand community demand and help plan future festival locations. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in festival planning and in preventing duplicate or abusive voting.
How long information is kept
The newsletter retention period has not yet been approved, so newsletter collection remains disabled.
City vote records are retained for up to 365 days, then deleted. Changing your vote updates the existing pseudonymous record instead of creating a second vote.
Service providers
Brevo processes double opt-in subscriptions and marketing email delivery. Cloudflare Turnstile provides anti-spam checks. Hosting and operational suppliers process only the information needed to run and secure the website and city ballot.
Your rights and contact route
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact admin@fortheloveofdodo.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
